Screening inquiries
Thank you for your interest in hosting a screening of "This is [Not] Who We Are." We appreciate your interest and we hope that the film catalyzes important dialogue and positive change for your group or community. The information below provides details about the screening process. Please read through it and then submit the form below to share more details about your event.
We offer the film for a screening fee for groups and organizations. The amount of the fee depends on the nature, location, and size of the event, the presenting organization, and the costs involved. Boulder County K-12 schools are usually eligible to hold no-fee screenings. Once we have approved the event and established the applicable fee, you are welcome to conduct the event on your own. In addition, if you would like a speaker from the film team to help lead a post-screening discussion – such as co-director and narrator Katrina Miller, co-director Beret E. Strong, editor John Tweedy, or Zayd Atkinson, an important film subject who suffered abuse by Boulder Police, or another film subject – such facilitation is available for a speaker’s fee.
Your organization or group would need to provide the venue and AV equipment for an in-person event. For a streaming event, there may be an additional modest cost per pre-registered viewer. In either case, you would provide outreach/advertising for your event, though we may be able to help you promote it. We have provided press kit materials (e.g., film poster, synopsis, photographs, discussion guide, and director bios) below the form for your use once your event has been approved. You can also glean information from the "Acclaim" page on our website about the film's awards, festival screenings, and other honors. Thank you!
